General information for importing animals into Turkey:

You can bring your pets to Turkey as long as you carry the live animals’ health/vaccination certificates with you. Veterinary health certificate must be issued and all animals need to have full vaccinations. You also need to apply for an import permit and have a USDA endorsed APHIS Form 7001 issued withing 10 days of departure.

There is also required information and documentation for customs clearance.

However, there is a legal limitation on the number of pets to be brought to Turkey. A person can bring 1 cat or 1 dog or 1 bird or 10 aquarium fishes at most.

Turkey is a Eurasian country that stretches across the Anatolian peninsula in western Asia and Thrace (Rumelia) in the Balkan region of southeastern Europe. Turkey is bordered by eight countries. Istanbul is the capital.
