Pets
Cats and dogs must be accompanied by a rabies vaccination certificate and certificate of good health issued by a veterinary authority less than 48 hours prior to departure. Passengers arriving with pets may be submitted to a tax of XAF 5,000.- per pet. Other animals are prohibited.
It is important to note that there are some scams involving purchasing pets from Cameroon so it is best to be aware and cautious.
General Information
The Republic of Cameroon is a unitary republic of central and western Africa. It is bordered by Nigeria to the west; Chad to the northeast; the Central African Republic to the east; and Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, and the Republic of the Congo to the south.
