Dogs and cats must be accompanied by veterinary certificate, including:

1. confirmation of rabies inoculation not less than 3 weeks nor more than 6 months prior to arrival.

2. statement that no case of rabies has occurred in area of origin for 60 days prior to shipment.

General Information

Burkina is a landlocked nation in West Africa. It is surrounded by six countries: Mali to the north, Niger to the east, Benin to the south east, Togo and Ghana to the south, and Côte d'Ivoire to the south west. Its size is 274,000 km² with an estimated population of more than 13,200,000.

Burkina Faso has a primarily tropical climate with two very distinct seasons. In the rainy season, the country receives between 600 and 900 millimeters (24-35 inches) of rainfall, and in the dry season, the harmattan, a hot dry wind from the Sahara, blows.
